Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work directly with builders?

Yes, we do. If you are a builder seeking a floor sanding and polishing specialist that offers free quotes, top-of-the-range workmanship, fast drying floor products and 100% professionalism, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll help you meet your deadlines, budgets and safety obligations.

What’s the difference between acrylic-based products and solvent-based products?

Acrylic-based polishes are less toxic, dry quicker, don’t smell, don’t darken or yellow with age and are better for people with allergies. They are much safer than the solvent alternatives, as solvent-based products can actually give off high levels of toxic fumes.

How can I best look after my floors?

The Bundaberg & District Floor Sanding team suggest using very mild washing detergent if you need to mop. Don’t use anything harsh and definitely do not use a steam mop on the area as the heat may damage your floors.

We also recommend using furniture pads on your chairs, tables and any other home fixtures to protect your floors from scratches. It’s more often furniture that damages your floors, not people walking on them.

How long will it last?

Under normal conditions, you should expect to get eight to ten years out of your rejuvenated floors.

How soon can I step on my floors?

Our acrylic-based products are incredibly fast drying, allowing you to walk on the area only 24 hours after the last coat is applied. Obviously, you need to take care as they take approximately 72 hours to cure, but the area will definitely be accessible in this time.

How long will the floor polishing and sanding take?

This all depends on the size of the area and the condition of your current floors. However, the average full house takes three to four days, while the average room takes approximately one day.

Do you provide free quotes?

Yes, we certainly do. Our free, no-obligation quotes give you the opportunity to compare prices as needed. Plus, we can educate you about the acrylic-based products we use so you are fully informed.

How much will it cost?

In order to give you an accurate quote, we will first need to measure and assess your floors. This is a simple and hassle-free process – we can visit your property at a time and day of your choosing, and provide a floor sanding quote on the spot.
